While generative AI stands to greatly improve organizational efficiency and increase the reach of pro bono services, it also carries potential risks and implications. The presentation dove into the legal landscape of generative AI and how organizations can successfully navigate this space to scale impact while avoiding pitfalls.

DWT partnered with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in the aftermath of the 2022 Students for Fair Admissions decision of the U.S. Supreme Court curtailing the use of affirmative action in higher education, and other racial equity policy rollbacks around the country. One team provided comprehensive analysis and advice on the impact of Students for Fair Admissions in the fair housing and fair lending realms, to help better understand the continued viability of race conscious housing and credit access programs.

DWT’s DEI counseling team partnered with both the national Lawyers’ Committee and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area to provide practical information, assessment tools, and other resources to the nonprofit sector as part of a program established to help organizations continue their work in support of BIPOC communities. Relatedly, our DEI counseling team also has provided support on a DEI Know Your Rights guide for American Pride Rises.
